Underband measure help:

Measure around the underband, directly under your bust. The measuring tape should be level, measure in inches and be very snug.

Cup measure help:

Wrap the measuring tape somewhat loosely around the fullest part of your bust (at nipple level) and round to the nearest whole number.

Please note that the tape measure isn't always 100% accurate when it comes to measuring the bust. If you are getting a totally different measurement than expected, please book in for a Free Online Fitting, and we can help further.

Solidarity vs Battle Bra Sizing:

You may find that you could need two different sizes in our Solidarity and Battle Bras. These bras are a different style to one another and, depending on shape, some people may need the same size, some may not.

The key differences in the make-up of the Battle Bra is the fabric. It's slightly more firm. So if you currently find that your Solidarity Bra is as snug as you'd like a bra to go, you may prefer to size up in the band for your Battle Bra and down in the cup.

Back in my days as a Sports Bra Tester, I was sometimes asked: “Is it normal to wear two sports bras when exercising?”. There is a categoric answer to this question, which is ‘No’. Wearing two sports bra can lead to more problems than solutions, increasing pressure points, lack of breathability and inadequate support often lead to chafing. Instead, invest in the best sports bra for the right activity.

Our Empower Medium Impact Sports Bra is engineered for activities or breast size that require medium support. Even smaller breasts require support. If you are someone with larger breasts or partakes in high-impact activities such as running, we would recommend our Solidarity High-Impact Sports Bra. Sports that require medium support are those such as gym workouts, fitness classes, cycling and cross training.

The Empower Bra features our Overband Technology, a stiffened band that runs over the top of the breasts to support upward motion. This additional feature offers great support for equestrian, jump rope (skipping), pole dancing and gymnastics.

Q: What is a Pre-Tensioned Overband?
A: The Overband is a stiffened panel that runs over the top of the breasts to provide support in the upward motion. On the Empower Medium-Impact Sports Bra this is pre-tensioned, so that when worn, the Overband pulls downwards, offering the increased level of support required.

Q: What is the difference between ‘Hook and Eye’ and ‘Slot and Snap’ Clasps?
A: A Hook and Eye Clasp is what is traditionally seen on bras and sports bras alike. It consists of rows of metal ‘eyes’ on one side, and a single column of metal hooks on the other. The column of metal hooks are positioned inside the metal eyes to secure the bra.

A Slot and Snap Clasp is a new innovation of fastening. It features one plastic moulded piece on one side, and several positions for the mould piece to be slotted into. Once slotted into position, the fastening is snapped forward, locking the mechanism and securing the bra.

Q: What Sports should I use my Empower Sports Bra for?
A: The Empower Sports Bra has been engineered for sports and activities that require a medium level of support. These include but are not limited to team sports, fitness classes, gym workouts and cycling.

Q: Can the Empower Sports Bra be worn alone or without a sports top?
A: Yes, the high-coverage of our sports bra mean the wearer can feel secure in just their sports bra.
